High-salt diets linked to autoimmune diseases

A trio of studies from the US found that increased salt consumption may be one of the culprits behind rising rates of autoimmune diseases such as MS.

The results of the studies, published by collaborators at Yale, Harvard and MIT/Broad Institute, demonstrated that in a mouse model of MS, a high-salt diet accelerated the disease's progression.
