Scopi & obiettivi della società :
|
| |
- To form a coalition of member organisations (made up of people affected by MS) to work towards achieving a single national framework of action for the development of an MS movement in Romania
- To ensure that the public are informed about MS and the national movement
- To provide social services and develop training activities for MS professionals
- To collaborate with all public authorities and NGOs, providing social and medical services for people affected by MS, in order to enhance the quality of services and to work with the national scientific community to stimulate research in the field of finding treatment
- To protect the fundamental rights of its members and promote the principles of quality of life for people with MS (independence and involvement, medical care, continuing care, health promotion and disease prevention, family support, access to transportation, the right to work and participate in voluntary activities, the right to education, the right to health insurance and financial assistance, the right to housing and access to community buildings)
- To work within the international MS movement to further promote the socio-medical and financial interests of people affected by MS
- To collect the necessary resources to realise the above aims
With its newly formed medical advisory board, SSMR seeks to inform and advise national and local health bodies to ensure that the state provides the most effective treatment, therapy and care possible for people with MS. The MS Society commits to keeping families together, where possible, by supporting the person with MS so that they can continue to live as independently as possible in their community.
