Terms and Conditions
I confirm that I have read and understood the terms and conditions. (required)
(Required)
The following terms and conditions have been written to ensure MSIF can support its fundraisers in the best possible way, whilst raising as much as possible to fund its work. If you have any questions about them, please don’t hesitate to email: george.heslop@msif.org
As an event participant fundraising in aid of MSIF, you can expect the following from us:
- Dedicated support and advice with your fundraising and training.
- A fundraising pack and materials to help you raise as much as possible.
- An MSIF T-shirt or sports vest
The Event
The Event (TCS London Marathon) is organised by a third party and not organised by MSIF. All MSIF Participants are subject to these terms and conditions, in addition to the Event Organiser’s own terms. Both terms and conditions must always be fully complied.
As an event participant fundraising in aid of MSIF;
Registration and participation:
I agree to take part in the event. This agreement will be valid from the date on which I sign for one year, unless terminated earlier by MSIF.
I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and I accept all the points stated in these terms and conditions.
Upon completing the registration form, I agree to pay the registration fee of £80 and fundraise the minimum target of £2,500.
I will inform the MSIF Events Team if I am unable to take part in the Event as soon as possible.
Fundraising:
I agree to comply with any fundraising guidance or advice issued by MSIF.
I agree to collect money only on behalf of MSIF in connection with the TCS London Marathon.
I agree to keeping details of the names and addresses of, and amounts donated or pledged by, all donors and provide such details to MSIF on request.
I agree to only use lawful means to fundraise for MSIF, and will not do anything that harms or is likely to harm MSIF’s reputation.
I agree to not use the MSIF logo without permission and will obtain all fundraising materials from MSIF.
I confirm I will not include raising funds by carrying out door-to-door or unsolicited collections, collecting in any public places or on private property without first obtaining the relevant authorisation or permission, or conducting any raffle/lottery or putting on any public event without first contacting MSIF.
I confirm I will provide updated fundraising details when requested so that targeted help and support can be offered where necessary and the charity can realistically assess its likely income.
Event registration details
Registration Fee: I agree to paying an £80 registration fee which will need to be paid to secure the place in the event. This helps to cover MSIF’s costs and is therefore non-refundable. Please note, the entry fee does not count towards your final fundraising total.
Registration with TCS London Marathon: I agree to registering with the event organisers (TCS London Marathon). As this is a health and safety requirement and will ensure you receive all the event information. Failure to register by the deadline will mean you will not be able to take part in the event - this is outside of MSIF’s control.
Fundraising: I agree to fundraising at least the minimum target (£2500) for the event by the fundraising deadline; this is 6 weeks after the event day, which is 26th April 2026. Making your deadline 7th June 2026.
Gift Aid: We cannot include the amount raised through Gift Aid in your fundraising total. However, please encourage your sponsors to add Gift Aid to their donations where possible. This increases the value of their donation at no extra cost to them.
Personal data and images:
I permit MSIF to use of my name, picture, image, video, feedback and comments in any future publicity, advertising, fundraising materials or promotion. If you do not wish your photos, video, audio or quotes to be used you must inform MSIF in writing at: george.heslop@msif.org
Health, safety and fitness:
I agree to take part in the Event at my own risk, and I will not hold MSIF or any connected persons responsible for any accident, injury or illness sustained to the fullest extent possible in law.
I agree to fully prepare myself for the physical challenge of the Event and if in any doubt, I will check with my doctor that I am medically fit to participate in the Event.
Event changes or postponement by the organisers
I agree that as the event is not organised by MSIF, any changes to the event will be communicated by the Event Organisers directly to Participants and MSIF.
As above, I agree that any deferrals or transfers will be offered at the discretion of MSIF, and if the charity has secured future places in the event.
I agree that in the event of a cancellation from the Event Organisers, MSIF is not liable for any costs incurred by you. This includes, but is not limited to, clothing, travel (domestic and international) or accommodation.
I acknowledge and agree that the Event staging and logistics are under control and management of the Event Organiser (TCS London Marathon).
I agree that the registration fee will not be refunded if; the event is cancelled; the event is postponed, or I am unable to attend.
I agree that it is not customary to refund fundraising monies raised in the event of a cancellation. Please put any requests in writing to the charity. If you have used a fundraising platform such as Just Giving, you will need to contact the platform for refunds through this service.
Many thanks for your support and good luck with your fundraising! Any feedback please email: george.heslop@msif.org
