What’s on this page?
This World MS Day, MSIF is launching a new global research initiative through the World MS Day poster maker. The online tool allows people with MS to create a personalised poster about their diagnosis journey. By answering questions about their diagnosis journey, participants can generate a visual poster to download and share as part of the World MS Day campaign. Alongside raising awareness, the poster maker now offers an opportunity for people with MS to contribute their stories diagnosis experiences to global research on MS diagnosis.
Turning lived experiences into global evidence
Participants can choose to allow their responses to be included anonymously in a research dataset. MSIF will analyse this patient-reported data to better understand the real experiences of MS diagnosis around the world. The project aims to build a clearer global picture of peoples diagnosis journeys – including the symptoms, barriers, and delays faced experienced in different countries. The findings will contribute to a global report on MS diagnosis, helping to strengthen the evidence base needed to improve diagnosis for people with MS worldwide.
An exciting way to participate in research
The poster maker offers an innovative and accessible way for people with MS to participate in research through a simple digital activitystorytelling. Participation in the research is completely voluntary, and people can still create and share a poster without contributing their responses.
How to take part
People with MS can create a poster in just a few steps:
- Upload a photo (optional)
- Choose a poster colour
- Answer a few questions about their diagnosis journey
- Choose whether you want your anonymised responses to be included in the research
- Download and share their poster
Participants can also choose whether responses are anonymised and included in the research study.
The Poster Maker is currently available in English only.

About World MS Day
World MS Day on 30 May is an international awareness day for everyone affected by MS. It is a day of global solidarity, collective action and hope. In 2009, the MS International Federation (MSIF) and its members initiated the first World MS Day 2026 is the third year of the My MS Diagnosis campaign theme for World MS Day.
Early diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) is vital to enable early treatment and reduce future disability. Yet the MS community face barriers preventing early diagnosis in 83% of countries worldwide. The My MS Diagnosis campaign advocates for early and accurate diagnosis for everyone living with MS. It highlights the global barriers to diagnosing MS, raising awareness by sharing real stories and data. We are calling for better MS training for healthcare professionals, new research, and clinical advancements in MS diagnosis. Together we are building informed, caring communities and systems that support people diagnosed with MS.
