Month of the caregiver in India
For the last 19 years the MS Society of India’s Chennai Chapter has marked the 'Month of the Caregiver'

Every October the members of MSSI’s Chennai chapter gather to appreciate and honour the ‘caregiver’ be it a parent, a spouse, a sibling, a child, or a friend.
Each caregiver is presented with a gift of appreciation for caring for their loved one tirelessly over the years. The hope is that this special event encourages other caregivers to seek support.
This year, a special guest joined the proceedings. Karen Dare, an Ambassador for MS Australia (Victoria), gave a talk about her experience of living with MS. The talk provided a new perspective and a positive outlook on MS for everyone who was there.
