MSIF and Unidos Combatiendo la Esclerosis Multiple (UCEM) are seeking a facilitator, preferably currently living and working in Mexico, to work in collaboration with our capacity building team during the third regional meeting of Latin American MS associations in Veracruz, Mexico in September.

This year, we are collaborating with UCEM to organise the third regional meeting of Latin American MS associations which will take place on the 27th and 28th September in Boca del Rio, Veracruz Mexico. This meeting will include a series of activities such as round tables, workshops, conferences and debates.

These regional meetings provide a unique opportunity for MS organisations to discuss organisational issues, discuss the challenges faced by organisations and people with MS in their countries, exchange experiences, and look for solutions that can benefit the region as a whole. This year we are expecting more than 15 different countries including Cuba, Paraguay, Argentina, Haití and Honduras.

Most LATAM MS associations are grassroots, volunteer lead groups. Some have many years of experience and others are recently formed, but all of them share a strong commitment of improving the quality of life of people affected by MS.

The facilitators will be required to travel to Veracruz on the 26th September, be available to have preparatory calls and online meetings, co-facilitate several sessions during the two days of the regional meeting, be responsible for documenting and processing material produced during the session and write up a report.

If you are interested in working with us on this, please contact both Paulina Arce paulina@msif.org and Claudia Salcedo desarrolloinstitucional@ucem-mexico.org before the 28 July 2017 attaching the documents requested in the brief below.
