Sarah Thomas from the UK has won MSIF's 2010 Evelyn Nicholson Award, in recognition of the outstanding support she provides to her mother, her local MS society branch members and other young carers.

The MS Societies of the US and Canada have committed more than $2.4 million to support seven new research projects focusing on the role of chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) in MS. In addition the Italian MS society has committed €900,000 towards an epidemiological study on CCSVI.
